#SGDengueUpdate NEA’s Gravitrap surveillance system has shown an increase of about 8% in the Aedes aegypti mosquito population in Dec.

Have you been keeping your home free from stagnant water? A 20-cent sized drop of water is all mosquitoes need to breed. Do the #MozzieWipeout at least once a week, to protect yourself and your family. More at go.gov.sg/mozzieproof

TGIF! Making your plans for the weekend? Don’t forget to bring your brolly along.

A developing northeast monsoon surge in the region is bringing periods of showers to Singapore today. As the monsoon surge strengthens, widespread rain, heavy at times, is forecast later tonight. The rain is expected to be persistent and last over this weekend. This will bring cool and windy conditions, with daily minimum temperatures dipping to 21-22°C in some places. This is the 2nd monsoon surge to affect the island this month, after 2 days of continuous rain from a monsoon surge last week. #SGWeather

Leaving your soiled tissue on dining tables is inconsiderate and unsanitary! Dispose of them properly, to help prevent the spread of diseases. #SGUnited #BinOurTissues #KeepSGClean

Phase 3 of Re-opening commences today. To accommodate the increase in group size of up to 8 persons, markings on seats and tables at the dining areas of hawker centres have been revised. While we bond over our favourite hawker food, let’s also #ReturnOurTrays and #BinOurTissues. #OurHawkerCulture is not just about the heritage, great food and bustling ambience – it is also about how it brings people from all walks of life together. Let’s keep #OurHawkerCentres clean and safe for everyone

Access control and interim fencing at more markets will also be removed, details at https://www.nea.gov.sg/media/news/news/index/phase-3-of-re-opening-hawker-centres-and-markets

#SGDengueUpdate 236 dengue cases were reported in the week ending 19 Dec. Whilst the weekly cases number is less than 300, a figure of 200 to 300 is still relatively high for this time of the year.

Have you been doing your part in the fight against dengue? Continue doing the #MozzieWipeout at least once a week, to get rid of stagnant water and prevent mosquito breeding. More at go.gov.sg/mozzieproof
