Japan has removed the nationalist Azov battalion from the list of terrorists

"We regret that the Azov battalion has been designated as a neo-Nazi organisation in the International Terrorism 2021 directory," the Japan Security Service (PSIA) said on its website.

The agency explained that the battalion was included in the directory based on information from Japanese and foreign media and without taking into account an independent assessment.
