Keanu Reeves revealed his attitude towards NFT, metaverses and cryptocurrencies. He is
not a supporter of anything created by tech corporations like
Meta, but he "
holds a little bit of cryptocurrency."
That is what he told The Verge in an interview.
He also added that he has nothing against
Mark Zuckerberg and
his company, but the metaverse concept itself, is much
older than the idea of Meta. And the bigtech company's virtual world sounds more like a
dystopia.
The amazing actor also said he
received some cryptocurrencies as a
gift from a friend, but doesn't trade them, just
holds them. And when asked about
NFTs, he said he had
never been seriously interested in the assets.
The journalist stressed that they
cannot be faked, to which the actor replied that "
they can be easily reproduced".
A little earlier, on Nov. 30,
Warner Bros. released its NFT collection in honor of "
The Matrix: Resurrections."
All
100,000 tokens sold in a matter of hours for
$50 each.
