Would NFT and Meta Concerts be the future of the music industry?

Two weeks ago, artist investment platform Royal closed a $55 million funding round.
Royal is an NFT music platform where artists give their fans direct ownership of their songs.

Electronic DJ and founder Justin Blau said:
"A real fan might want to own something much sooner than a speculator would know about it. Democratizing access to asset classes is a huge part of the future of cryptocurrency."

The traditional way of attending a concert is changing.
Last year saw the first two festivals held in the meta-universe.
More about the meta-universe here

The acceptance of NFT in the music industry is growing by the day.
It wouldn't be surprising if music concerts and festivals released their tickets in the form of NFT in the near future.

Amazon is investing in the NFT marketplace Dibbs.

The Dibbs startup distinguishes itself by insuring and storing assets transferred to it from third parties.
The marketplace is built on a special WAX blockchain operating only with unique tokens.

Amazon did not disclose the terms of the deal, though invested $16 million.
The small amount is due to the large number of competitors and the difficulty of launching sports cards on account of the clubs' copyrights.

Project Dibbs launches a new service that allows you to buy and sell shares of trading cards, and it is this that prompted the tech giant to invest.

Whereas Amazon is just entering this sector, its competitor eBay has long been a leader in this area.
In the first six months of 2021, $2 billion worth of trading cards were sold.

OpenSea denied plans to float shares on the stock market.

It happened after the negative reaction of the cryptocommunity, and CFO Brian Roberts explained that from now on he will discuss such plans with the community.

Roberts looked to attract investment to the project, indeed investors are keen on the new emerging NFT industry.

And Jeff Kirdeikis, the CEO of crypto exchange TrustSwap, expressed disappointment about it.
So, he suggested to issue his own token platform, following the example of the crypto exchange Binance.

Hey, crypto-punks!

Just had a piece of news I wanna share with you.
It's already outdated, yet I kept trying to figure out how it happened...but still don't get it

The NFT CryptoPunks owner sold a token to himself for $532 million!

And the best part is, he used the borrowed funds to get on the list of the most expensive tokens from Larva Labs studio.

After the transaction, he repaid the loan.
And the fee was, mind you, $800.

However, studio representatives admitted that the transaction was illegal as the investor bought NFT from himself and removed the transaction from the list of the most expensive NFTs.

My guess is that we are still gonna see a lot of interesting things.

2021-12-09 20:00:03 Unexpectedly, Edward Snowden joined the NFT world

The former NSA and CIA employee, during an online conference, criticized NFT game developers for artificially creating scarcity.

"We have people trying to [inject] an artificial sense of scarcity into the post-scarcity domain. I think society should really try to bend the arc of development rather than injecting completely unnecessary artificial scarcity in the interests of some class of investors," Snowden explained.

He also called meta-universes "horrible" and "tragic," since of the desire to capitalize on users' escape from reality.

Speaking of Snowden
He sold his NFT for 2,224 ETH.
His portrait shows him in the form of documents clippings with a lawsuit for violating U.S. law.

Music Pause in the NFT world

How much do you pay to listen to music?
Android users can laugh at Apple right now.

Personally, I give my money to Apple Music and Spotify, though I guess, things could change...
As to me, NFT based platforms are gonna become pretty popular soon. Why?

The artist then sells music directly, bypassing intermediaries.
According to analysts, nowadays 75% of the payments are received by streaming services.

Of course, everyone is only for such platforms to develop.
You get money in real time, and users can be sure their money is heading to their favorite artist.

The main thing is to organize it all nicely, so that, let’s say, one or more decentralized platforms with a user-friendly interface would be available to everyone.

The French game development company has announced Quartz.
Right there, users is to be able trading NFT tokens, dubbed Digits.

The tokens themselves will not affect the gameplay, but only have a "cosmetic" nature.
Moreover, you cannot earn in the game, only purchase on the platform.

Quartz beta test is to be held on December 9 in the U.S., Canada and several European countries.

Hey, meant to tell you an interesting thing about games and NFTs.

You do know that all NFTs are unique, right?

Now let's imagine there are games with NFT implemented or just a blockchain-based game.

Some rare stuff appears there that no one else has.
But then more and more of them get added and then almost everyone gets to use them.

How to know whether you're a player who was the first to buy a unique piece of clothing?
Well, you guessed it.

At this point we are not limited to just one game.
For instance, you're a musician inviting VIP guests to a closed concert.
However, you don't know everyone's face, so how to avoid leakage of the new album?

NFT invitation with information about what kind of person is this, where he is coming to, etc.

Overall, the possibilities for use are endless.

Wikipedia's first edit is for sale at the NFT.

Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales has put his piece of the Web up for sale.
Bidding at the Christie's auction starts at $100.

The auction closes on December 15, and a portion of the money will be donated to charity.

What about access rights?
NFT will provide the owner with the ability to change the temporary edit window and turn it off completely.

Greetings, everyone!
Today I would like to share how much celebrities earn from their artwork.

And that's a pretty interesting point, since if you do not have a name, no one ever buys your "masterpiece".
It works both in the real world and on the NFT market.

Whereas if you are Elon Musk's wife, your works will be sold in 20 minutes.
At Nifty Gateway auction, 10 of Grimes' works have gone for a total of $5.8 million.

The most expensive work was a video with flying cherubs featuring Grimes' original song "Anhedonia", which went for $389,000.

Another intriguing painting by another American artist, Mike Winkelmann.
He worked 5,000 days creating one digital painting a day.

And after 13 years, he combined them all into one painting and sold it at Christie's for $69 million.
By the way, before that, he was selling his work for a maximum of $100.

I guess the NFT is an interesting place to watch, as this is only the beginning of development.
