Medical history is significant for hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and transient ischemic attack. Family history is significant for hypertension and diabetes in his mother and Alzheimer disease in his father. He does not smoke and drinks wine only occasionally.
