Perfectionism is the mother of procrastination.• For about a year, I've been quite keen on
blogging and
vlogging. At first, when I was not that good at English, I was making posts and sharing whatever I knew on a daily basis. In fact, I had 2.5k+ followers.
• Just before taking
IELTS, I promised myself to go back to blogging once I get my result. Coz, everybody was asking me if I had an
IELTS certificate and I also had self-doubt about whether I was the right person to learn
English from.
• However, as I gained more and more knowledge during that period, my perspective has totally changed. Firstly, I feel that the social media is full of contents related to
IELTS already. Plus, it seems to me that people find
long posts boring these days,
don't they? • I even thought about creating video contents, but for that I need a
professional camera or at least an
IPHONE 13 pro (
which I think is just an excuse). I just don't want to create low quality videos:(
•
There're generally 2 types of people: - those who start sth with simple steps, not thinking about perfection, but over time achieve greater things,
- and those who chase perfection and keep procrastinating forever.
• I have more than 40 posts that I prepared, but have never sent here. If I share something, I want it to be
super useful, or better not to share it at all.
• I've been analizing
channels a lot lately. What they do is sharing some
magazines, podcasts (from Spotify), ready essays from
Cambridge books and share some vocab (
taken from those essays) or speaking responses which I would personally mark (6.5-7.0). And surprisingly, those people give online lessons and have lots of students (
who believe in them). With an overall 8.0 band score (
which is quite rare), I still have the feeling of dissatisfaction.
- I mean, I don't know, maybe I'm just more of a perfectionist.
