On the authority of Usāmah b. Zayd (may Allah be pleased with | Ottawa Islam

On the authority of Usāmah b. Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: One of the Prophe ﷺ's daughters sent someone to him to call him and inform him that a child of hers has passed.
(حَدَّثَنَا أبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّاد - يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ - عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِهِ تَدْعُوهُ، وَتُخْبِرُهُ أَنَّ صَبِيًا لَهَا، أَوِ ابْنًا لَهَا فِي الْمَوْتِ،

He ﷺ told the (her) messenger: “Go back to her, and tell her that indeed to Allah belongs what He has taken, and to Him belongs what He has given, and everything with Him has an appointed term. Tell her to be patient and to anticipate (the reward).”
فَقَالَ لِلرَّسُولِ: "ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا، فَأَخْبِرْهَا أَنَّ للهِ مَا أَخَذَ، وَلَهُ مَا أَعْطَي، وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّي، فَمُرْهَا، فَلْتَصْبِرْ، وَلْتَحْتَسِبْ"
