2021-09-03 13:22:01 The Qurʾān is the real Imām and it affirms the imāmah (leadership) of the Prophet ﷺ.
أما القرآن فهو الإمام حقا، وهو نفسه يثبت الإمامة للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

Then there is every well grounded person of knowledge and dīn and propagator of the Sharīʿah's rulings who is also an Imām.
ثم كل راسخ في العلم والدين مبلغ لأحكام الشرع فإنه إمام،

Except that they are similar to those who repeat the takbirāt of the Imām of the (congregational) prayer that when they make an obvious mistake following the Imām (of the prayer) then we follow the Imām instead of them."

2021-09-01 15:51:53 Al-Bukhārī may Allah have mercy on him said: Chapter: The Prohibition of excessive questioning and delving into matters which does not concern one’s self, and the saying of the Most High: “O you who believe, do not ask about things which, if they were made known to you, might make things difficult for you.” [5:101]
قال البخاري رحمه الله: باب ما يكره من كثرة السؤال وتكلف ما لا يعنيه: وقوله تعالى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَسْأَلُواْ عَنْ أَشْيَاء إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ} [المائدة: 101]:

Narrated by Saʿd b. Abī Waqqāṣ that the Prophet ﷺ said, “The most sinful person among the Muslims is the one who asked about something which had not been prohibited, but was prohibited because of his asking.”
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد المقريء حدثنا سعيد حدثني عقيل عن ابن شهاب عن عامر بن سعد بن أبي وقاص عن أبيه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم قال: «إن أعظم المسلمين جرماً من سأل عن شيء لم يحرم فحرم من أجل مسألته».

2021-08-29 18:23:48 On the authority of Usāmah b. Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: One of the Prophe ﷺ's daughters sent someone to him to call him and inform him that a child of hers has passed.
(حَدَّثَنَا أبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّاد - يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ - عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِهِ تَدْعُوهُ، وَتُخْبِرُهُ أَنَّ صَبِيًا لَهَا، أَوِ ابْنًا لَهَا فِي الْمَوْتِ،

He ﷺ told the (her) messenger: “Go back to her, and tell her that indeed to Allah belongs what He has taken, and to Him belongs what He has given, and everything with Him has an appointed term. Tell her to be patient and to anticipate (the reward).”
فَقَالَ لِلرَّسُولِ: "ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا، فَأَخْبِرْهَا أَنَّ للهِ مَا أَخَذَ، وَلَهُ مَا أَعْطَي، وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّي، فَمُرْهَا، فَلْتَصْبِرْ، وَلْتَحْتَسِبْ"

2021-08-19 19:01:04 Al-Kalbī and others have said: “It was the habit of the Arabs that if a man among them desired anything, he would worship it besides Allah.
قَالَ الْكَلْبِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ: كَانَتِ الْعَرَبُ إِذَا هَوِيَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُمْ شَيْئًا عَبَدَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ،

If he saw something better, he would leave what he first worshipped and worship what is better.
فَإِذَا رَأَى أَحْسَنَ مِنْهُ تَرَكَ الْأَوَّلَ وَعَبَدَ الْأَحْسَنَ،

This is the meaning of the verse: {Have you seen one who takes his desires as his god?} (25:43)
فَعَلَى هَذَا يَعْنِي: أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَهَهُ بِهَوَاهُ
