The Qurʾān is the real Imām and it affirms the imāmah (leadership) of the Prophet ﷺ. أما القرآن فهو الإمام حقا، وهو نفسه يثبت الإمامة للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Then there is every well grounded person of knowledge and dīn and propagator of the Sharīʿah's rulings who is also an Imām. ثم كل راسخ في العلم والدين مبلغ لأحكام الشرع فإنه إمام،
