[Help] Find a poem i heard about
I was at a Jonathan Richman concert last night and he quoted a poet, speaking about the diving and the eagle, and how when the eagle dominates, the divine cannot something, and that "this lover's lane is narrow". I asked him after the show who he was quoted, and I was sure I heard Calbert or Cabert or Caber or something, but I can't seem to find it either through the name or the words of the poem. He mentioned the poet being ancient something but I couldn't hear what and I didn't want to bother him as there were others waiting. He also recited the poem in its native language; it didn't sound like Italian and it definitely wasn't French, sounded more middle eastern but I couldn't say for sure. Can anybody help me out with this?
