Some people have an incredible ability of ruining a perfect song and tainting lovely melodies. It only takes a few night's worth of soaking your pillow with tears thinking what went wrong and when, for a song you used to love to change into a nightmare's opening symphony. There are those people you come across who have terror and rage glowing from their skin. Every word they say is somehow coated in a silk of threat and dipped in a wine of fear. Their memories alone can make you quiver in fear at the slight sound of a particular song. The tune that was meant to soothe or take you upon wings of imagination instead prickles the hair on your skin. Some people... some people, beautiful in the soul and mind give you a whole playlist of songs where it's just you and the soft rhythm. A smile on your face, a warmth of familiarity but at the same time the sense that that experience can never get old, hits you like a bottle a soju. If those people and the songs that remind you of them could be gems on your hands, you would cherish them for life. Looking at them dearly, as a reminder for they are not next you now.
