'Did I Forget You?' I came alive by the blaring of a passing | Every Day Poems

"Did I Forget You?"

I came alive by the blaring of a passing train.
The starry night was molding, along with the drizzling rain.
With the gusting wind, my heart ached with pain.
As came casting, memories of us, like a hurricane.

I opened my eyes, lounging on my bed.
Crumbling sheets now, as the memories flashed.
Forsaken in the darkness, I was all afraid.
Perceiving the circs, I just let my tears shed.

"No"... I mumbled with a faint voice
pitied in our memories, shielded warlike
as I doubted, something didn't feel right
'cause it quelled, contrary to my psyche.

I sat up faint-hearted as I cried
to not relinquish the echoes, how well I tried.

Let me scribble it, was that I decide
searching for pen and paper kept beside
with shivering hands, it took me some time
to set down words that could rhyme.

I drowned myself in the memory lane
wanting to endure those memories again
I tried, but on the contrary, was my brain
how I wish this night won't remain.

I felt cold as the wind again blew
making me alive again that I regret to
sitting blandly, I was feeling blue
was I dreaming or did I forget you?
