Shall I just confess, or let it be? I don't understand, Perhap | Every Day Poems

Shall I just confess, or let it be?
I don't understand,
Perhaps I don't understand what I'm afraid of?
Maybe afraid of the rejection it'll follow.
Or maybe the hurt I'll go through afterwards.
Or is it just my fear of losing them?
When I haven't even gotten to know them?
I guess it's the latter stopping me.
Shall I just tell and get it over with,
Or shall I just let things be,
Maybe it'll all subside one day,
And I will sit and think of the what ifs and what nots, years later?
Maybe I'll just be happy that way,
Maybe I'll move on before I even know it,
But what's stopping me from giving myself a chance of possible happiness?
