The sky speaks without words,
Messages that warm my heart.
It never ceases to amaze me,
Like a timeless work of art.

How it stretches far and wide,
With neither beginning nor end.
A fingerprint of the Creator,
Far more than I can comprehend.

It assures me of His blessings,
In its marvelous way of adorning
Each day with the sunrise -
That they're new every morning.

Happy times are understood
By the radiant hues in the sky.
Rain drops from darker shades convey
That sometimes it's okay to cry.

Now and then in broad daylight,
The beauty a rainbow will afford,
Affirms how great it is I'm loved,
By He who always keeps His word...

The One who sets the stars in space
And calls them each by name;
The One who set me here by design
And upholds me just the same.

What more is needed to show
The sovereignty of the Most High?
I find enough each time I spare

To the one who had stolen my heart,
At our first glance from the very start,
Exchanging awkward small talks and smiles,
Not realising that it would lead us to a million miles.

So you became a song that I would listen to,
Lyrics were your words of deepest secrets,
And the rhythms described the cries that your mind tried to sing,
Like an endless loop in playlist and ringtone,
I promised to be your music, a support to bring.

Naive and reckless I was when it came to emotions,
Mistaking your kindness as love and affection,
A prince charming in my fairy tales,
A daydream wish to live happily ever after,
But now, it's just pain and nightmares of scattered heart pieces and shattered dreams.

I loved you,

Not the birds on the morning duty who sing a different tune from the one I composed,
Not the lustful cruel cackling demons of my scared mind,
Not the cosmic dying stars upon the dusky blue frozen flood,

If it were a secret I bolted, I'd have been fine with standing firm in the shadows,
At least then I'd have some peace and quiet from shifting morrows,

If what I was doing was running, I wouldn't let sad lyrics halt me from leaving,
At least I'd be certain they wouldn't matter to me whilst going,

If all I wished was to stay away, I'd have been miles away with the fairies,

Holds the power to tear me apart.
One battle after another I fight,
with terrible memories from the past.
Rage, guilt, regret, fear is all I feel,
With thousands of questions in my mind.
What did I do to deserve all this?
How are they going to repay me?
Is this what I get for being nice all my life?
Or was it all my fault?
Did I bring it all on myself?
Who was I so afraid of?
With all the chaos,
everything is such a mess.
Provide me with all the answers.
