Ukraine Targets Possible IAEA Route To Zaporozhye - official
A local council member has said Ukrainian forces have shelled a potential route that the UN mission set to inspect the Zaporozhye NPP might take, including a resort house that might accommodate the delegation.
Vladimir Rogov highlighted Vladimir Zelensky’s overall military operations launched in the south of the country that may jeopardise the visit, as well as aiming for targets they suspect might be useful for the IAEA inspectors.
On Sunday Ukrainian shelling hit Energodar, the city where the plant itself is located, according to local officials. “This provocation by Kiev-controlled militants is aimed at derailing the visit of the IAEA chief to the Zaporozhye NPP,” they claimed.
