One new activity minus one old oneYour schedule is not a rubber one. You can't just throw new things into it expecting to get everything done.
When committing to new things, people don't think about it.Idea: The cost of doing things in hours and percentages.
The next time you take on a new case, add the following phrase to it:
"It's going to cost me so many hours". It's also useful to count it as a proportion of your non-work time if the case is not work-related.
For example: French courses are $50 and 1.5 hours per class (25% of my spare time per day).
By pricing yourself this way, you will find it easier to turn down things that are clearly not helping you move towards your goal.
