How does perfectionism keep us from living?

Many suffer greatly from trying to do everything in their lives perfectly--home chores, work, relationships. It takes time, energy, and the focus of attention suffers. It's a stressful life and you drive yourself into it even more every day.

Perfectionism is hyper-control, which leads to nothing good.

Scientists have long proven that perfectionism causes anxiety and makes the pace of tasks low. Perfectionists get stressed when they let go of the reins, they feel like everything is falling apart and going wrong. They seek perfection even when it is counterproductive.

Each person decides for themselves whether or not to be a perfectionist. I believe that balance is important in everything. And perfectionism doesn't have it. But there is a lot of wasted time, exhaustion and anxiety, which leads to unfortunate consequences.
