How to respond to manipulation

Many people dwell on possible reasons for the other person's behavior instead of trying to recognize their own behavior. One often hears: "Why did he say that?", "Why did she do that?".

We must accept the fact that other people's words and behavior are beyond our control. People have the right to do what they think is right for them. And if it doesn't agree with the way we think about life, we shouldn't dwell on the reasons why someone behaves the way they do, but shift the focus to ourselves.

One should ask oneself, "What can I do in this situation?" instead of "Why is he (she) doing this?" This will be difficult at first, because we have a habit of keeping others in focus and trying to control them.

But once we learn to pay more attention to our own thoughts and our own behavior and increase our awareness, we will simply stop overreacting to possible attempts at manipulation.
