If you want to use manipulation, you should choose a fast, slightly aggressive pace of speech.
Do not pause, do not let your opponent put his five cents in.
Why would you do that? You deprive your opponent of self-confidence by such methods.
And by knocking the ground out of the victim's feet, it's much easier to get what you want.
