This short FAQ has been created following our recent discussion on the chat (thanks&greetings to David Stor ).

1. How do you guys evaluate the price for the promo post on your channel?

- You could determine the price for your channel here:

Find or add your channel to the system, select the right niche, and the service will show you "fair value" for an Ad post on your channel.
(The evaluation won't be 100% accurate but generally could help you to estimate the price for an ad on the channel)

2. Was there a backlash from your channel subscribers after you started posting adds?
- Yes, there will be some backlash (a small part of subscribers will unsubscribe), but it won't be that critical.

3. And what did you find to be the best ways to monetize your channel?

4. I see that there are different formats for the ad placements: 1/24, 2/48, 3/72, eternal, repost. What do they actually mean?

- Here you go:
1/24 — means that the ad post stay on top of the channel (as the latest post) for at least 1 hr, and after 24 hrs from its publication, it'll be removed from the channel (it'll stay on the channel not less than 24 hours);
2/48 — that post will stay 2 hrs on top, and won't be removed at least 48 hrs after its publication;
3/72 — 3 hrs and 72 hrs on top and on the feed respectively;
Eternal — the ad post is published forever, but it doesn't have to be on the top for any time (it's not required);
Repost — a standard Telegram repost of the original message (forwarded message). The repost stays on the channel for at least 48 hrs and doesn't have to be on the top.

The verified @donate bot uses Payments 2.0. To receive donations, the channel admin has to add the bot as a channel admin with rights to delete posts. After that, you have to send a special command, which triggers the bot to create a donation button for you.

A channel you're trying to link has to have move than 1,000 subscribers, has to be public, has to be created more than 3 months ago, and has to belong to "Entertainment" or "Education" categories. The channel owner has to pass verification by scanning own face in the service.

Fees for accepting and withdrawing the funds are higher than 5% right now, but expected to be lowered in future. Despite the fact the bot looks like a native monetization solution from the Telegram team, this is actually a third-party service delivered by smart-glocal.com.

Recently, more and more medical channels have appeared on Telegram. Quite right, if you are well versed in medicine, it might be a good idea to create such a channel. And of course, this is an interesting and useful topic. At the same time, it is unlikely that the topic will remain top in terms of earnings and audience after the hype passes.

In this post I will try to list those topics that, in my opinion, can become a good source of income for a much longer time. In order to compile this list, I analyzed the statistics of Telegram exchanges (marketplaces) in different languages, talked with several dozen advertisers and administrators of English-language Telegram channels.

List of the most promising niches for creating your own Telegram channel (as of summer 2021)

I got the following list:
- Investments,
- Business,
- Job listings,
- Marketing & PR,
- Startups and venture,
- Education,
- Fashion,
- MEDIA,
- Science and technology.

According to my micro-research, these niches are the most promising now (this is not a promotional advive :-)))

P.S. Do not forget that when choosing a topic for your own Telegram channel, an important factor is not only which niche, as you think, is the most commercially promising, but also which niche you work well in and what is ... interesting to you.
