2022-06-10 14:39:04 Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has once again rejected Turkish military operations in the occupied northern part of the country, saying government forces will directly confront the Ankara government’s incursions and offensives wherever military facilities are present.

“If Turkish forces launch an attack in areas where Syrian military troops are present, the latter will definitely fight back and put up defense,” Assad said.

He added, “Two and a half years ago, there was a direct confrontation between Syrian and Turkish forces, and Syrian soldiers managed to strike a number of Turkish units that had encroached into our territories.”

“If it is not possible for Syrian army forces to face up to Turkish incursions, popular resistance will swing into action in the first place,” Assad pointed out.

Hezbollah is not against the ongoing negotiations taking place and will not interfere unless called upon by the Lebanese government to do so.

In this blatant violation of Lebanese territory, Israel is expressing its utter disregard for Lebanese sovereignty and legitimacy.

Hezbollah does not want war but does not fear it. An all-out conflict with the Israeli tumor will not be limited to Lebanon and could spell the eradication of the entity.

The Lebanese government must act decisively during the negotiations as the loss of it’s legitimacy could lead to increased hunger and suffering amongst the Lebanese people. This could erupt in a calamitous event even worse than civil war.
