2021-10-15 19:40:15 Private Covid Lab SUSPENDED After Potentially Giving 43,000 FALSE Results

A NHS Test and Trace investigation examined around 400,000 samples that have been processed through the Covid lab, after concerns about “people receiving negative PCR test results after they have previously tested positive on a lateral flow device.”

It found that around 43,000 people may have been affected by the errors, receiving incorrect results between September 8 and October 12, mainly in the southwest of England.

The UK’s Health Security Agency (UKHSA), which is responsible for “planning, preventing and responding to external health threats,” confirmed the suspension of Covid testing at the Immense Health Clinic laboratory.

2021-10-15 16:40:12 HK watchdog investigates Evergrande and auditors PwC over accounts

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has launched an inquiry into the 2020 and first half of 2021 accounts of Evergrande - and into the audit carried out by PwC that assessed their sustainability.

According to the FRC, Evergrande reported cash reserves of around $24.73bn - covering just over 10% of current liabilities - but PwC didn’t report any uncertainties over the company as a going concern.

Evergrande has now missed three rounds of interest payments on overseas bonds, and has estimated liabilities of $300bn.

Thousands of picketing port workers are attempting to seriously disrupt Italy’s supply chains – blockading Trieste, the country’s most important commercial hub, as they demand the govt overturn the compulsory imposition of the Green Pass.

As of Friday, Italian citizens must show their Green Pass in the workplace or face suspension with no pay - proving they have had either at least one vaccine dose, recovered from the illness in the last six months, or tested negative in the last 48 hours.

According to estimates, some 40% of Trieste workers have not been jabbed while a total of 2.5mn Italians remain unvaccinated.

2021-10-15 15:15:15 Dissident SUES Twitter for harboring two Saudi spies

A prominent human rights activist and anti-govt dissident has filed a lawsuit against Twitter for employing two Saudi men who purportedly acted as spies for Riyadh, and negligently failing to stop them stealing information.

The defendants reportedly stole personal data of Ali Al-Ahmed and sold it to their native authorities, while Al-Ahmed has had his own Twitter account suspended since 2018 - which he alleges is a tool to keep Saudi users onside.

The two men named in the suit filed by Ali Al-Ahmed have both already been indicted by the US govt for passing private data to the Saudi authorities between 2013 and 2015.

"Food is too cheap," Ranjit Boparan, who is known as the "Chicken King" and owns the 2 Sisters Group, was quoted as saying by The Times newspaper.

With central bankers on high alert and inflation in Spain, Ireland and Sweden hitting 13-year highs, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde repeated that the upswing in Europe is seen as temporary and said there were no signs of it becoming embedded in wages.
