British F35 jet crashes into the Mediterranean – pilot ejects safely (MoD)
An F35 fighter jet from the UK’s flagship carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth has crashed in the Mediterranean during “routine flying operations” with no hostile action believed to have taken place.
The $135mn aircraft is thought to still be in the sea unrecovered, with a comprehensive military investigation reportedly underway to look into possible technical or human error.
