For Construction Sector Employers – Helping You Manage Your Manpower Needs

Govt agencies have worked with firms to resume work, almost all projects restarted. MOM is aware some companies experiencing lack of manpower.

MOM has started approving work pass applications from countries with lower health risk.

Try to retain your existing workers:
- You can renew Work Passes as early as two months before expiry
- Work out mutually acceptable terms early to keep workers, or you may lose them to other employers
- If you do not need your workers, agree to transfer them out to others

Hiring workers from other companies:
- Generally, you can apply for workers no longer needed by other employers if the employer agrees to the transfer
- Discuss and mutually agree with workers and existing employers for smooth transfers
- Avoid poaching from one another

MOM will come down hard on companies who falsely declare there is written consent from existing employers on transfers. Employment agents involved will also be penalised.

人力部将严厉对付那些谎称得到现有雇主书面同意转让工人的公司。涉及这类案件的劳务中介也将受到惩处。
