[New] Jobs Situation Report (18th Edition)

In 2020, Workforce Singapore and NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute ramped up outreach efforts to inform jobseekers of the avenues available and enhance their access to Career Matching Services.

Over 1,300 career-related activities organised, attracting 34,000 jobseekers
34,000 received individualised career coaching; 2 in 3 were PMETs
25,000 secured jobs through career matching services; 3 in 5 were PMETs
Over 13,000 placed into new roles through career conversion programmes

Emotional barriers
Gaps in jobs skills
Discomfort with new work conditions
Outdated job search techniques
Limited networks

The Government’s priority remains to help Singaporeans stay in jobs or access new jobs. We will continue to support all jobseekers in finding new pathways to career growth.
