[New] Jobs Situation Report (21st Edition)
The SGUnited Traineeships and SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programmes were introduced in 2020 to help recent graduates and mid-career individuals gain useful work experience to boost their employability amid COVID-19.
Progress as of end-Feb 2021 9,500 trainees on traineeships/attachments offered by 2,500 host organisations
9 in 10 host organisations are SMEs
4 in 5 trainees are graduates; the rest are mid-career individuals
Complementing efforts to place Singaporeans into jobs 200 trainees found full-time jobs during traineeships/attachments
60% of 160 trainees who completed the programmes also secured full-time jobs
Based on a survey by WSG, most host organisations converted or plan to convert suitable trainees to regular employees
15,000 more traineeships/attachments will be made available
