197,000 full-time lower-wage workers to benefit from new Progressive Wage moves from 1 September 2022: Retail Progressive Wage Model (PWM)
Extension of PWM to in-house cleaners, security officers and landscape workers
New Local Qualifying Salary (LQS) requirement
Including workers in existing PWM sectors, a total of 221,000 full-time lower-wage workers will benefit from these Progressive Wage moves.
We will continue to support our lower-wage workers to ensure no worker is left behind:
• By end 2022: Progressive Wage Mark to recognise companies that pay Progressive Wages
• Mar 2023: Food Services PWM and Occupational Progressive Wages
• Jul 2023: Waste Management PWM
