MOM has released new details on the Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS) bonus criteria, comprising the Skills Bonus (Criterion 5) and the Strategic Economic Priorities Bonus (Criterion 6).
For the Skills Bonus: Applicants can receive up to 20 points if their occupation is on the Shortage Occupation List (SOL). The SOL identifies jobs with highly specialised skills that are in shortage in the local workforce.
For the Strategic Economic Priorities Bonus: Applicants can receive 10 points if their company participates in eligible programmes run by sector agencies Company should also demonstrate commitment to developing our local workforce.
This will come into effect together as part of COMPASS on 1 Sep 2023 (for new EP applicants) and 1 Sep 2024 (for EP renewals).
