Working with Deliveroo allows flexibility of work, you can even engage others to deliver orders using your rider account (aka Substitutes).

When engaging a Substitute, you must ensure they:
Are over 18 years old
Is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
Have a valid driving licence and appropriate commercial insurance if operating a motorbike and/or a valid PAB Theory Test Certificate if operating a PAB
Have not had a previous Supplier Agreement with Deliveroo terminated due to a material breach of its terms

It’s important that you make sure your Substitute meets these requirements to work with Deliveroo – otherwise your account may be suspended or terminated and you won't be able to work with Deliveroo in the future.

As a Deliveroo Rider, it is important that you are aware of some simple measures to ensure the food is handled safely on its journey from the restaurant to the customer.


Your health condition
If you are unwell/unfit for work, you should not be doing deliveries

Avoid contamination
For health and safety reasons, do not carry other items in the thermal bag which could contaminate the food or cause germs to spread.

Personal hygiene
It is especially important to wash/sanitise your hands regularly—in between orders, after using the toilet, sneezing, smoking, or cleaning. Also, remember to keep long hair tied up and regularly wash your rider kit.

Hygiene of equipment
Remember to clean your delivery equipment regularly as you go and remove waste when necessary.

Can’t reach your customer?
Leave it in a safe place, such as hanging them on the door/gate or on a clean elevated surface outside the door (not the ground/floor), and inform customer.

Should you choose to cash out your fees in between bi-weekly payment cycles, fees will reach your bank account within 1-3 business days from the invoice date.

Please note that:
- Saturdays & Sundays are not business days (banks will only process it from Monday - 1st working day)

This Ramadan, Deliveroo Singapore will partner Darul Makmur Mosque to reach over 250 mosque-goers each week by distributing meals for the breaking of fast onsite. It will happen every Friday from 24 March to 14 April 2023, and we’d like to invite riders to participate in this event. Selected riders will assist to prepare and distribute dulang (food trays) onsite the mosque for Iftar on every Friday of the month between 6-8pm. All participating riders will also be compensated with $50 per session for their time.
