A coding training for 2000 African Girls, 124 being Ethiopian, ended this week. The continental coding boot-camp aimed at promoting the importance of ICTs as a tool for the empowerment of women. The girls were on training since November 30, organized by T[he Economic Commission for Africa (ECA](https://www.uneca.org/)) and the [International Telecommunication Union (ITU)](https://www.itu.int/en/Pages/default.aspx).

The program included different courses, including how to code using Scratch program, Robotics and Internet of Things, AI, Design thinking, Gaming, Fashion, Animation and to gender equality, sustainable development goals (SDGs) and techniques in confidence-building and public speaking.
