In continuing the support for Singaporeans to upskill and reskill for opportunities in a transforming economy, the following were announced at the Ministry of Education's Committee of Supply Debate 2021:

Extension of SGUnited Skills Programme and SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme - Company Training to 31 Mar 2022. Courses under these two programmes will be made more compact from 1 April 2021 onwards, to channel jobseekers more quickly towards new employment opportunities.

Extension of time-limited wage support for employers participating in place-and-train Work-Study Programmes to 31 Mar 2022, to help partner companies continue to take in trainees during this period of economic slowdown.

Further extension of Enhanced Training Support Package to 31 Dec 2021, in order to support industry restructuring and transformation efforts.

#SGBudget2021: Emerging Stronger Together The SGUnited Skills Programme and SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme - Company Training will be extended for another year to 31 Mar 2022.

This is to allow more eligible Singaporeans to reskill towards in-demand job roles. Starting from Apr 2021, additional training opportunities will be condensed to enable participants to complete the training in a shorter time.

Both programmes will continue to feature flexible modular formats, monthly training allowance, potential participation in workplace immersion and industry projects, and employment facilitation.
