The Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan clarified the information about the alleged refusal to cooperate with the "Savings Bank".

A memorandum of cooperation between the Government of Kazakhstan and Sberbank was signed in September 2021. Today, the media, citing Vice Minister of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic Askar Zhambakin, reported that Kazakhstan decided to independently carry out the digital transformation of state bodies.

The press service of the Ministry did not confirm this information. The decision on whether to refuse to cooperate or not has not yet been made: the statement of the Vice Minister has been misinterpreted.

"The Ministry of Finance conducts a risk assessment, including taking into account the geopolitical situation, analyzes the situation taking into account the opinion of the expert environment and the public. To date, there are no legal relations with the Beber group on the implementation of the platform," the press service reported.
