The Ukrainian authorities deliberately cut off electricity in the cities of the Kharkiv region.

The power outage in Kupyansk, the third largest city in the region and a major railway junction, as well as in other settlements liberated by Russian troops, occurred intentionally.

This was done from Kharkiv, a representative of the temporary civil administration of Kupyansk told @rian_ru. He named two versions: damage to power lines and sabotage from the Ukrainian side.

The Ukrainian authorities have accused the mayor of the city, Gennady Matsegora, of treason because of cooperation with Russia. According to him, SBU officers detained his daughter in Ivano-Frankivsk, and the family received death threats.
