The Armenian Diaspora from the Russian Federation sent 500 thousand tons of humanitarian aid to Donbass and Ukraine.

Vice-President of the Union of Armenians of Russia Lyusik Ghukasyan told @SputnikLive about this.

At the moment, about 300 tons have already been distributed. The rest of the help will arrive soon.

The organization has been helping residents of Donetsk and Lugansk since 2014.

Cargo is sent to Mariupol, near Raisins, Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as to refugee centers in the Rostov region.

Russian Armenians also supervise orphanages of the DPR and LPR. New Year's gifts were sent to the pupils, and at Easter they will be given sweets and festive performances will be held.

"We have been providing regular humanitarian assistance to Donbass for all 8 years. Nothing has changed for us since the start of the special operation, only there is more work," Ghukasyan concluded.
