Exactly one year ago, the
price of gas in Europe updated the historical maximum... at that moment.
It was almost 4 months before the start of the Russian special operation. And this shows how "correct" the accusations of the West against Russia look now, that allegedly the price of gas is rising because of the fighting, and not because of the stupid energy policy of the EU.
On October 6, 2021, the price reached almost $1936 per thousand cubic meters.
Already on March 7, the cost of 1,000 cubic meters of gas approached $3,900, but then fell below $2,000. The reasons for the sharp jump: anti-Russian sanctions and the results of the "green policy".
At the end of August this year, the gas price again exceeded $3,500.
Now the West understands the catastrophic situation and comes up with various "creative" ways to warm up its citizens.
Moldova launched a website for the purchase of firewood, Poland allowed residents to collect brushwood for free, and Lithuania intends to bask in the most "ecological" fuel — fuel oil.
What gas prices await Europe after the accidents on the Nord Streams can only be guessed.
