Domestic Markets:
Trends in SGX Nifty indicate a positive opening for the broader index in India with a gain of 29 points. The Nifty futures were trading around 17,410 levels on the Singaporean exchange. The BSE Sensex tanked 861 points to 57,973, while the Nifty50 fell 246 points to 17,313. Whereas the IT & Media indices have shown weakness and closed down by 3.53% & 2.04% accordingly. The Nifty midcap 100 and smallcap 100 indices were down 0.8% and 1% on negative breadth.

Global Markets:
US stocks closed lower on Monday, adding to last week's sharp losses on nagging concerns about the Federal Reserve's determination to aggressively hike interest rates to fight inflation even as the economy slows. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 184.41 points, or 0.57 percent, to 32,098.99, the S&P 500 lost 27.05 points, or 0.67 percent, to 4,030.61 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 124.04 points, or 1.02 percent, to 12,017.67. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 0.78 percent and the Topix index gained 0.85 percent. The Kospi in South Korea added 0.85 percent and the Kosdaq increased 1.09 percent. In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 was fractionally higher.

Technical Outlook:
After the gap-down opening nifty showed strength and traded higher top higher bottom formation. It has denied trading below 17200 levels and has given a bounce from lower levels. in this process, it has formed a bullish body candlestick pattern. which suggests the short-term trend is positive. Nifty has closed below the 20 simple DMA and 17500 which is a negative breath for the index. On nifty may find resistance near 20 DMA which is placed at 17550 levels whereas 200 simple DMA acts as support reading at 16975 levels. Open / Comment

KIMS: The company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 51% in SPANV Medisearch Lifesciences, Nagpur, that runs a multi-specialty hospital ‘Kingsway Hospitals’.
