I was told by my Chechen friends about similar things. Chechens had to bury lots of dead Russian soldiers themselves, not because they respected them, but because they were being eaten by dogs on a streets and afterwards dogs would attack humans.
Unfortunately there was no internet at that time to share with a world all the inhumane atrocities that were being committed in those times.

2022-04-11 02:24:41 Rick Rubin is an unbelievable person.
I'm not a musician or an artist, but I still consider myself creative and people like Rick just help put your mind right.
Great interview!

2022-03-19 08:45:44 It look like Russia lost the war against Ukraine .
We saw similar things in Chechnya. I remember it as a kid, we lived in neighboring republic. We felt earth shaking from the bombing. First time I saw “Black shark” helicopters flying above our house I was shocked with fear. Even worse is when a fighter jet flies above when you don’t expect it. You can’t help but run for shelter when you hear this deafening sound.
Chechen refugees live in all of my relatives houses. There was huge refugee camp in the nearby town.
European countries didn’t t help Chechen people then. There were only some mild warning statements from western politicians.
Like they did not exist. And yet they won first war!
Unfortunately they could not win second one, because this time they had to fight Russia+Western money from oil&gas sales.
Ukraine has almost 40x times more people than Chechen republic.
Fortunately for them whole world supports Ukrainians(mostly because they realized that they’re next).
It’s impossible for “Corruption Federation” to win this war.
No ruler of Russia was able to keep the power after losing the war, many were even killed. This angry midget is ordering to bomb civilians, he has no other options left, his end is coming.
We can only pray that this happens with fewer victims!

2022-03-08 00:01:17 If you follow my posts, you know that on my Mom's side, I trace my family line from Kyiv. Her maiden name is Ukrainian (Ivanenko), and to this day we have many relatives living in Ukraine. That's why this tragic conflict is personal both to me and Telegram.

Some people wondered if Telegram is somehow less secure for Ukrainians, because I once lived in Russia. Let me tell these people how my career in Russia ended.

Nine years ago I was the CEO of VK, which was the largest social network in Russia and Ukraine. In 2013, the Russian security agency, FSB, demanded that I provide them the private data of the Ukrainian users of VK who were protesting against a pro-Russian President.

I refused to comply with these demands, because it would have meant a betrayal of our Ukrainian users. After that, I was fired from the company I founded and was forced to leave Russia.

I lost my company and my home, but would do it again – without hesitation. I smile with pride when I read my VK post from April 2014, which shows the scanned orders from the FSB and my trademark response to them – a dog in a hoodie.

When I defied their demands, the stakes were high for me personally. I was still living in Russia, and my team and my old company were also based in that country.

Many years have passed since then. Many things changed: I no longer live in Russia, no longer have any companies or employees there. But one thing remains the same – I stand for our users no matter what. Their right to privacy is sacred. Now – more than ever.
