Telegram and other social networks will be fined for encouraging minors to participate in illegal promotions

“Calls for drawing up reports on administrative offenses have been sent to representatives of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, VK, OK, as well as YouTube video hosting and Telegram messenger. The protocols will be drawn up from February 11 to March 1, 2021, " – reported Roskomnadzor (federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media of Russia).

According to the Code of Administrative Offenses, violation of the procedure for restricting access to prohibited information by the site owner entails a fine for legal entities from 800 thousand to 4 million rubles. In the event of a repeated offense, the fine is increased to 10% of the company's total annual revenues.
