Another pepper tip. When you cut a pumpkin or sweet potatoe and don't want to use it all, sprinkle the flesh (not the skin part) with fine pepper and cover with a peice of paper towel and your pumpkin will last in the fridge for a few weeks. Make sure you remove the centre fleshy bit with the seeds too. It helps dry out the flesh and prevents mould from growing.
