George Fitzhugh's SOCIOLOGY FOR THE SOUTH

In Sociology for the South, George Fitzhugh radically reframes our view on a social institution considered beyond the pale—slavery.

By casting slavery in humane, Christian terms, Fitzhugh at once savagely critiques the free society of laissez-faire, and cuts socialism off at the knees as an alternative. Socialism is shown to be an incomplete form of slavery, all its virtues better embodied in this ancient institution. Rabbinic Judaism, the mainstream form of Judaism practised today, owes its origins to the codification of the Jewish oral laws in the Talmud in the 6th century AD [1].

These oral laws and traditions contained within the Babylonian Talmud comprise what the Jews call the 'oral Torah', which takes precedent over the written Torah (the Pentateuch of the Christian Scriptures), subsequently allowing them to dupe unaware Christians into thinking they follow the same god based on different revelations [2].

This oral Torah of Talmudism takes its roots in the 'traditions of the elders', which Christ rebuked the Pharisees for practising and enforcing in Mark 7 and Matthew 15. The origins of these traditions is up for speculation, be it from Babylonian influence from the captivity, Hellenistic culture, or from Edomite influence.

One way or another, Judaism is not the religion of the Old Testament [3].
