A sperm donor has fathered 15 children without informing their mothers of his genetic condition.
James McDougall, 37, has a good heart. More than anything, he likes to help people selflessly. That's why he became a sperm donor for a lesbian who was disgusted with the usual way of conceiving a child. James bailed them out and didn't take any money. Such a nice guy.
But there's a nuance. James has an inherited disease that has no cure. It's called Martin-Bell Syndrome, or X-chromosome fracture syndrome. It manifests itself in mental retardation, low IQ, and other little things like sporadic outbursts of aggression, confused and incoherent speech, movement disorders, and a predilection for self-harm.
He is now forbidden to communicate with those he has impregnated. And with the children themselves, of course. And James is offended and genuinely does not understand why he has to go through all this. He gave those women the greatest happiness in their worthless lives - children.
