September 1 is a special day for thousands of children.
The first photo was taken in front of the Tagavard school in Martuni district. Despite the intense bombing and still visible traces of war, this school, like many others, opened its doors to its students.
They are among the 50,000 children who were forced to face the tragic reality too early. They survived the horrors of war, most of them became refugees, and some became orphans. But despite all the hardships that have befallen the children, today they are all here to move forward, learn and together make this world a better place.
Thanks to the partnership between the Aznavour Foundation, the House of Armenian Culture of the city of Desin, as well as with the support of the Desin City Hall and Denis Djorkaeff, the Foundation managed to provide 1000 children from the border regions of Artsakh with school supplies for one academic year.
