The leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan are personally involved in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict - Sergey Lavrov
The Russian Foreign Minister, answering a question from one of the MGIMO students, recalled that Armenia is an ally of Moscow. The minister said that he had held good talks with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan the day before.
"Bilaterally, we have a very rich agenda. And the exchange of visits and the implementation of major projects, the development of economic cooperation, all this is proceeding very intensively and confidently."
Lavrov noted the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh, stressing that "this is not a one-day work," but Moscow plays a decisive role in calming the conflict, both in the matter of signing trilateral agreements and "on the ground" (peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh) Russian border guards help "for the Armenian allies to resolve issues with their Azeri neighbors."
