The abandoned island town of Hashima is one of the most sinister ghost towns in the world.

When it was first inhabited, it was an eerie place where coal was mined deep underground, with houses, shops and schools above it on the surface. For half a century, Hasima was one of the most densely populated places on earth, with a density of 139,100 people per km².

When the coal mine began to deplete, the town fell into decline, the inhabitants soon left Hasima and it became a ghost town. For many years, the Japanese government strictly banned visitors to the island. But after Hashima was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015, the island was finally allowed to be visited by tourists who like such extreme and spooky places.

These are the 'Rainbow Mountains' that can be seen in China's Zhangye Danxia National Geopark.

The coloured rocks are made up of sedimentary rock - sandstone and siltstone. They predate the Himalayas. It all happened by itself, thanks to climatic and geological changes, even if it took millions of years.

Warm evening in Paris.

For 130 years, the Eiffel Tower has been a powerful and distinctive symbol of the city of Paris, and by extension, of France. At first, when it was built for the 1889 World's Fair, it impressed the entire world by its stature and daring design, and symbolized French know-how and industrial genius.

Have you ever seen Eiffel Tower in person?

An unusual relic tree in an ancient Buddhist temple in China.

The giants are supposedly more than 1,400 years old. Every autumn, in mid-November, the green leaves turn golden in color. And, when the tree drops its leaves, the ground turns into a "golden carpet." This stunning view attracts thousands of tourists.
