U-Safe self-propelled lifebuoy
U-Safe is a development of the Portuguese company Noras Performance.
The main idea of the designers was to deliver the lifeline exactly to the address - to the drowning person, excluding interfering factors in the form of currents, waves and wind.
U-Safe, with the help of two water-jet engines powered by electric motors, is able to get to the right place and deliver the rescued to the rescue boat or the shore. It is controlled remotely.
