Samsung announced that its new Galaxy smartphones will be partially made from recycled fishing nets. This is the first step toward realizing a big goal - by 2025, the electronics giant plans to make all of its smartphones from recycled plastic.

The company intends to use 640,000 tons of fishing nets in an effort to clean up the oceans and produce more environmentally friendly devices.
