The Belgian startup Eeve is developing a robotic gardener, Willow X. It can mow the lawn, remove trash and weeds from beds, and harvest crops.
Unlike competitors, the robot from Eeve does not use perimeter wires or GPS tracking, but relies on video surveillance, mapping and obstacle detection. And to identify objects, it uses a 4-K camera and AI-enabled devices. Willow X is scheduled to go into production in 2024. The price is $4,400.
