Dutch startup Squad Mobility has presented a complete electric car, the Solar City Car. It has built-in solar panels, removable batteries, and two electric motors with a total capacity of 2 kW. With a full charge, the Solar City Car will be able to drive 100 km and accelerate up to 45 km/h. Well, the main advantage of the electric car is its price, only $6,500 for the basic configuration.
Squad Mobility plans to organize production in early 2023. The first electric cars will go to customers in the Netherlands and then to southern Europe. The startup will also offer electric cars for rent or subscription for $100 a month.
