Attention Diversity Visa (DV) applicants! Please make sure your education (or work experience) meet DV program requirements before you apply for a visa at the U.S. Embassy. The minimum education requirement is a “high school education or its equivalent”.

To qualify for the diversity visa, an applicant must have successfully completed a formal course of elementary and secondary education comparable to a high school education in the United States. Only formal courses of study meet this requirement. Correspondence programs or equivalency certificates (such as “eksternat”) are not acceptable.
