Наша вторая история посвящена бухарскому оленю, подвиду благородного оленя, проживающему в тугайных лесах Узбекистана. Из-за браконьерства и разрушения природной среды обитания популяция бухарского оленя сократилась до 350 особей в начале 2000-х годов. Отвечая на этот вызов, Узбекистан осуществил успешные природоохранные инициативы и начал разводить оленей в Зарафшанском национальном парке. Сегодня в Узбекистане насчитывается около 1500 бухарских оленей! Лесная служба США в сотрудничестве с НПО Green World Future работает над развитием экотуризма в Зарафшанском национальном парке, чтобы у всех была возможность увидеть этих великолепных животных. 2021-03-03 18:16:50 In honor of World Wildlife Day, Embassy Uzbekistan is highlighting threatened native wildlife. Our second story highlights the Bukhara deer, a subspecies of red deer native to the riparian forests of Uzbekistan. Threatened by poaching and habitat destruction, the population of Bukhara deer dwindled to as few as 350 individuals in the early 2000s. In response, Uzbekistan implemented successful conservation initiatives and reintroduced the deer to Zarafshan National Park. Today, there are an estimated 1,500 Bukhara deer in Uzbekistan! The U.S. Forest Service in collaboration with Green World Future is working to develop ecotourism at Zarafshan National Park so that everyone has the opportunity to view these magnificent animals.
